Artist Statement

Art is a vessel. It is full, it is empty, it is in-between. The weight of carrying that vessel is in the hands of the individual. The weight that I carry fluctuates from each artwork, and the weight will carry on even past my lifetime. The haunting of my works comes from the energy I put into not only the technique but the material and the meaning. My work is a dig site, filled with the artifacts of my own narrative and trauma.

My current work is an autopsy of the world around me; of the injustice, the pain, the beauty, the good, the bad, the all. I dissect these things that I find intriguing and search for a way to bring a new, different life and meaning to them.
